Europe’s largest motoring affiliation, ADAC, warns that the height of motorway congestion for the summer holidays will probably be reached throughout the upcoming weekend.

This weekend will mark the start of the summer holidays in the German states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. Moreover, it’s anticipated to see the second wave of travelers leaving the states of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and the south of the Netherlands.

ADAC thus anticipates that the height of motorway congestion for the summer holidays will probably be reached throughout the upcoming weekend. Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon are notably affected.

Well-liked German motorways, resulting in the North and Baltic Sea and people going into the mountains, will probably be affected the most. International routes in Italy, Croatia, and France may also expertise vital congestion. In Austria, the closure of most motorway options may also enhance visitors.

Congestion may be prevented by traveling on mid-week days, equivalent to Tuesdays or Wednesdays, advises ADAC.
